The image was taken during a performance realised by the artist, together with Riccardo Rudi as part of their solo exhibition at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Munich. The project is inspired by two poems by Pier Paolo Pasolini dedicated to his mother, “Supplica a mia madre” (Plea to my mother) and “La ballata delle madri” (The ballad of mothers). The artist reflects on the concept of aggression and how aggressors may have been victims theirselves, a fact that would make a judgment quite superficial, if based just on their violent actions.
