On Friday 17th March at 7pm, Francesca Filippini Pinto (Castel San Pietro Terme, Bologna, 1982) Global Director, Gallery and Retail, Magnum Photos, meets Walter Guadagnini, member of E.ART.H.’s curatorial committee, during the talk “Collecting Photography: an introduction”.
Francesca Filippini Pinto has been professionally involved in the art world since 2011, first as Director of Development for The Photographers’ Gallery, the UK’s largest public institution dedicated exclusively to photography, and previously as Managing Director for Christie’s South Kensington. Currently, Filippini Pinto is at the top of Magnum Photos, the photo agency representing some of the world’s most acclaimed photographers, with whom Eataly Art House collaborated by presenting a selection of shots in one of the dedicated aisles of the Art Market. The appointment deals with collecting in the field of photography and develops a specific reflection on its meaning in contemporary times.
