Premiére

curated by Luca Beatrice
Fino al 31 March 2024

Eataly Art House – E.ART.H. presents a new exhibition project dedicated to the emerging Italian scene that ignites a focus on contemporary pictorial production through the work of nine young artists: Première, curated by Luca Beatrice, with Giorgia Alchilarre, Assistant to the curatorship.

Designed for the Art Market of E.ART.H., the collective brings together the works of Mauro Baio (Lecco, 1991), Chiara Calore (Abano Terme, 1994), Matteo Capriotti (Giulianova, 1996), Andrea Ceddia (Rome, 1997), Lorenzo Ermini (Montevarchi, 1996), Olga Lepri (Moscow, 1997), Gloria Franzin (Treviso, 1999), Sofia Massalongo (Verona, 1998), Davide Serpetti (L’Aquila, 1990) and is open to the public from Friday 13 October 2023 to Sunday 31 March 2024, on the ground floor of Eataly Verona.
The approach of these artists, born between 1990 and 1999, among generations Y (Millennials) and Z, reflects the urgencies of our time and is structured in the light of new technological possibilities, communication and education of the last decades and the levers grown as a result of the processes triggered in the sixties of the twentieth century. Digital natives, familiar with the dynamics of the network and instant communication, from TV to social media, this group represents a generation of rupture, which faces a completely renewed world.
The painters selected for this section have experienced an ever more radical and sudden change, faced the economic crisis of 2008 and the recognition of an unbridled mixture of genres and languages. What emerges is a look that reveals the will to test the most established visual strategies, while maintaining the pictorial surface as a preferred device.
